Six types of elastic fiber textiles
Fiber knowledge

spandex
Polyurethane fiber
Polyurethane elastic fiber refers to a block copolymer made of polyurethane as the main component of the fiber, our country is referred to as Spandex, the original product name in the United States is Spandex, and then renamed Lycra, the European name is Elastane, Japan is Neolon, Germany is Dorlastan, Its elasticity comes from its molecular structure by the so-called "soft" and "hard" chain segment composed of block copolymer network structure, spandex is the first elastic fiber development and the most widely used, the most mature production technology of the variety

Polyether ester elastic fiber
Polyether ester elastic fibers are elastic fibers made from polyester and polyether copolymers by melt spinning. Polyether ester elastic fibers not only have high strength, good elasticity, and high melting point, so they can be processed into elastic textiles. In addition, their light resistance, chlorine bleaching resistance, acid and alkali resistance are better than ordinary spandex. This type of fiber also has the advantages of cheap raw materials, easy production and processing, making it a promising type of fiber

Composite elastic fibers
T400

Composite elastic fiber is a new type of two-component composite elastic fiber made mainly from DuPont Sorona and ordinary PET through advanced composite spinning technology; With natural permanent spiral curling and excellent swelling, elasticity, elastic recovery rate, color fastness, and particularly soft hand feel, it can be woven alone or interwoven with cotton, viscose, polyester, nylon, etc., forming a variety of styles
Not only does it solve many problems such as difficult dyeing, excessive elasticity, complex and unstable fabric size during weaving, and easy aging during use of traditional spandex silk, but it can also be directly woven on air jet, water jet, and arrow rod looms, without the need to first make wrapped yarn like spandex before weaving on the machine, reducing the cost of yarn and improving product quality uniformity

Polyolefin elastic fiber
DOWXLA fiber

Polyolefin elastic fibers are made by melt spinning polyolefin thermoplastic elastomers. They have good elasticity, 500% elongation at break, can withstand high temperatures of 220 ℃, are resistant to chlorine bleaching and strong acid and alkali treatment, and have strong resistance to UV degradation
Its production process is relatively simple, the raw material price is lower than that of spandex, and it produces almost no pollution during the production process and is easy to recycle. Due to the various excellent properties of polyolefin elastic fibers, their applications have become increasingly widespread in recent years
Diene elastic fiber
Rubber thread

Diene elastic fibers are commonly known as rubber fibers or rubber tendon fibers
The required chemical composition is sulfurized polyisoprene, which has good chemical and physical properties such as high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and wear resistance. It is widely used in the knitting industry such as socks and ribbed cuffs
Rubber wire is an early elastic fiber used
Adopting environmentally friendly material surface pressing treatment to achieve millimeter level construction accuracy and texture
Hard elastic fibers

Some fibers made under special processing conditions, such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), etc., although not easily deformed under low stress (because they have a higher modulus), still have good elasticity under higher stress, especially at lower temperatures. Therefore, these types of fibers are called hard elastic fibers
