Process flow of spandex fabric
How much do you know about spandex
Spandex fiber is a special fiber with rubber like stretchability. Starting from elastic stockings and pantyhose, it has evolved into functional sportswear such as swimwear and tight fitting clothes, and then developed into tight fitting underwear materials such as underskirts and shirts that require high aesthetic and comfort.
Pre made spandex process
Due to the use of silicone oil lubricants and other additives in the weaving process of spandex to improve its spinning performance. These additives will naturally degrade over time, causing the fibers to turn yellow and the elasticity of the fabric to decrease. Meanwhile, fabrics containing spandex will form a "cold setting" during long-term storage, resulting in permanent wrinkles that cannot be eliminated during post-processing. The purpose of preheating and shaping is to eliminate stress through the process of fabric tension and relaxation, making the size of the fabric fully stable, and eliminating permanent creases in the fabric during post-processing. Relaxation → Steaming (hot rolling water at 80 ℃ without steaming conditions) → Over shaping → (pre-treatment before entering the fabric → shaping → printing)
Characteristics of spandex
soft and comfortable
Spandex itself has a soft texture, a smooth feel, and a delicate sensation when in contact with the skin. Wearing clothing made of spandex fabric provides a comfortable and skin friendly experience, without causing friction or irritation to the skin.
The biggest characteristic of spandex fabric is usually considered to be its elasticity. Spandex has high elasticity, with an elongation rate of up to 500% -800%, and can quickly recover to its original state after stretching. This characteristic is incomparable to other conventional textile fibers. Due to the high elasticity of spandex, it is widely used in various clothing that requires good elasticity, such as sportswear, swimsuits, yoga clothes, jeans, underwear, etc. In addition to elasticity, spandex fabric has many other advantages.
Moisture absorption and breathability
Spandex has a certain degree of moisture absorption, which can absorb sweat discharged from the surface of the skin and keep the skin dry. At the same time, it also has good breathability, allowing air to circulate in the fabric, making the wearer feel comfortable during the wearing process without feeling stuffy or hot.
Good dyeing performance
Spandex fabric can absorb dyes well and produce various bright and vibrant colors. Moreover, the dyed color has a high degree of firmness and is not easy to fade, making it possible to create colorful fabrics.
chemical resistance
Spandex has good chemical resistance and has a certain resistance to general chemicals such as acids and alkalis. It is not easily damaged by chemical substances during daily wear and washing.
